Investment Analyst

Cameron Harrison is seeking an Investment Analyst to join our team. This role plays a key part in delivering our firm’s Investment Management Program, supporting the design, execution, and ongoing enhancement of client portfolios. Working across asset classes including global and domestic equities, fixed income, property, and alternatives, you’ll gain hands-on experience in portfolio monitoring, asset pricing, and trade execution.

About the role

As part of the investment management team, the Investment Analyst will be focused on the delivery of the firm’s Investment Management Program, this would include: 

  • Production of asset pricing reports for our direct investment model portfolios across Global Equities, Domestic Equities and Fixed Income.  

  • Oversee the rebalancing of client portfolios to implement changes in tactical and strategic asset allocation.  

  • Supporting portfolio managers in the monitoring of existing investments and the identification of new opportunities. 

  • Processing of trading instructions and communication with external broking network or custodians. 

  • Contribute to investment research and analysis activities across difference asset classes be it, debt, equities, property, private credit, or alternatives.  

  • Champion the firm’s continuous improvement program, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and protocols. 

About you

The ideal candidate would posses the following characteristics:  

  • Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Finance, or Accounting. 

  • Ideally 1-2+ years’ experience at a Big 4 accounting, investment consultant or asset management firm but will consider post-graduate qualification in related fields. 

  • Have a genuine interest in markets, economics, wealth advice, and a strong understanding of different asset classes. 

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy. 

  • Able to develop rapport with colleagues and clients.

Part-Time Intern Role

Our permanent intern role offers first year students an opportunity to develop real-world investment management and client service skills in a professional environment. Primary responsibilities include portfolio analysis, client portfolio reporting and supporting the ongoing investment management program. Structured training is provided and you will have the opportunity to work with senior managers to gain valuable insight into sophisticated wealth and investment management.
